December- A Soft Place to Reflect

December has a way of slowing us down. A time when something inside of us asks us to pause and look at the pieces of the past year we’ve been carrying. We look at the ones we grew through, the ones we’re still healing from, and the ones we’re quietly proud of.

Reflection isn’t about reliving everything. It’s about noticing what has shaped you and choosing what you’ll carry forward into the new year.

What This Month Is Really About

December is not an ending, but a bridge to the new year.
It gives you permission to exhale.
To name the experiences that stretched you.
To honor the small wins you almost skipped over.
To admit what was too heavy to keep.

And most importantly, it makes space for grace.
Grace for who you were, who you are, and who you’re becoming.

A Gentle Reflection Practice

Find a quiet moment today.
Place one hand on your chest or your lap. Breathe in slowly.
Then ask yourself three simple questions:

  1. What did this year teach me about myself?

  2. What am I ready to release so I can walk lighter into the new year?

  3. What am I proud of, even if it felt small?

Write your answers down (in your Unlaced Journal) or speak them aloud.
Let them be honest. Messy. Human.

You don’t have to fix anything today.
You’re just noticing, and that’s enough.

Your Lace-Back-Up Moment

“I honor the version of me who made it through this year. I lace back up with clarity, softness, and hope.”

A Note from Unlaced

This season can stir a lot inside us.
If you feel tired, stretched, or unsure, nothing is wrong with you. The year has been a lot!
You’re simply human, and this month is an invitation to breathe deeper, release gently, and carry forward only what brings you peace.
